OCT = Pumpkins and Preptober!

This season, the powers of light have bestowed upon our region…an additional Municipal Liaison. *insert hysterically happy tears here* In case you missed the three years of failed updates over here (cough, cough), I’ll fill you in:

Fall 2020

NOVEMBER = NaNoWriMo! Are you with us? This month I’m also doing a daily gratitude challenge, and will be doing my 2nd year with Advent Word (11/29 start)

It’s September! Already? You betcha… This season I am warming up to NaNoWriMo 2020 with some monthly prep prompts. Follow along, and I would like to encourage you to do your own #WIPtember (September) & #writetober (October) which are hosted by Hannah Robinson on Instagram. I will also be hosting a #PREPtober (October) leading up to NaNo2020 on my FLXwrimos instagram.

Summer 2020

Social isolation is still dictating most of our lives, but I’m feeling ready to tackle July Camp NaNo! I’m planning a non-fiction piece with a working title of Your Family Business.

Spring 2020

Hello, pandemic…?! I attempted April Camp NaNo but ultimately abandoned my project due to personal stressors.

Winter 2019-20

I really didn’t write much beyond social media posts. I am trying to decide how to incorporate my new vision into existing platforms.

Fall 2019

In November, I participated in my 1st NaNoWriMo as a Municipal Liaison – and won…my first ever November event, after 14 years of attempts. My novel is tentatively named Remember. I took most of the winter off to reconsider my direction.

Summer 2019

As of mid-August, I have begun the planning and research phase of a new fiction work, inspired by true events. There is no wordcount thus far.

In July, I wrote for Summer Camp NaNoWriMo, continuing my latest memoir. I met my goal, but decided that the project was taking a weird turn, so I have tabled it for now.

Spring 2019

As of June, I was still writing the 1st draft of my Camp Nano project, working title: IDEK: Letters on Motherhood. I didn’t actually get as much written in April as I wanted, but May was much more productive. I was aiming for a completed rough draft by Summer Camp Nanowrimo in July but decided to expand the stories a bit.

In April, I participated in Camp Nanowrimo. My camp project is an expository collection of short stories based on life after Motherhood. It’s weird and ugly, and beautiful – and not enough people talk about it honestly.

Winter 2018-19

In January, I gave birth to my third child – a daughter – and began the planning of my latest work.
